Week 6 Assignment

Vocabulary week 6 - Make a list of 5-10 words that use the roots in them. Do this for all 8 roots in week 6.

Week 5 Assignment

Assignment: Vocab. pg 5 Don't forget to go to Quia for review and quizzes.
Fix-It Week 5, handwrite and define BOLD words.
Using a writing assignment from any other class, rewrite and use all 6 sentence openers. Make sure to mark them by putting the number in brackets next to the sentence. Example: (1)The cat chased the mouse. 1 for subject/verb sentence. Turn in on Tuesday. Please turn in your book selection name if you haven't done that.

Vocabulary: pg. 3 Sign into Quia --see link. Enter class code JHC438. Complete Quiz and then do review of vocab week 3
Essay: Write an essay about the SAT Essay and whether it is a true assessment of writing skill. Give yourself 25 minutes to complete using the information you learned from the DVD. Turn in on Tuesday.

Week 2 Assignment

Daily: Each day rewrite a section of Fix-It pg 2 on notebook paper with corrections. Watch for spelling, grammar, capitalization, punctuation, etc. Turn in all pg 2 sections on Tuesday.
Complete Vocab. page 2 and then review daily. Quiz on Tuesday (covering pg 1-2)

Do a 25 minute timed essay from SAT prompt handout. Due on Tuesday. Check out College Board website for more practice information.
